Lawyers4Learners Code of Conduct for Volunteers
Thank you so much for volunteering with Laywers4Learners, we hope you enjoy leading the workshops at schools and get as much out of it as the children. Please find below some further information around conduct for volunteers.
General
Please arrive in good time before your workshops begin. The schools have planned their day around the workshops and may have switched lessons over so please don’t be late!
If you need to cancel your workshop, please give as much notice as possible again so that teachers can re-plan their time.
Please don’t share any personal information or contact details with pupils. If, for example, you would like to offer work experience to a pupil please go through Lawyers4Learners rather than directly with the school or the pupil.
Photographs and Image Sharing
Please do not take any photographs while you are delivering workshops in schools. From time to time we will be taking photos for our marketing materials and social media but we will liaise with the school on behalf of Lawyers4Learners and will let volunteers know in advance of their sessions.
Safeguarding Concerns
Louise Jones is the designated safeguarding officer. If you have any concerns regarding the safety of a child or adult please contact her in the first instance. If you have any questions surrounding safeguarding please contact Louise and also refer to the Lawyers4Learners safeguarding policy.
Managing allegations against staff and volunteers
If you have any allegations against staff or other volunteers please contact Louise Jones in the first instance. If the allegation is against Louise Jones please contact the chair of trustees Caley Wright.
It is helpful if you can record any concerns in writing.
If you have any feedback on your experiences, positive or negative, please let us know as we endeavour to make these workshops enjoyable and fulfilling for all volunteers.
